Embossed Fabrics
After ten years of research and experimentation, we are pleased to offer embossed Harateens and watered Moreens. Both fabrics begin as plain Moreen, a rep weave fabric with a fine worsted warp and heavy woolen weft. Using methods similar to those employed in the 18th century, we emboss our fabrics in a custom made press using heat and pressure. The designs for our embossed fabric can be custom designed from historic examples, or chosen from our collection of ready made plates.
